Kalamazoo Rotaract Club is a community service and social club for young professionals and students in the Kalamazoo area. The club has two meetings per month, typically in the evening on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Wednesday each month. Meetings consist of volunteer opportunities, social outings, professional networking, and featured speakers from the Kalamazoo community.
Kalamazoo Rotaract is a unique opportunity for young people in Kalamazoo to volunteer in the community, meet new people, develop lasting friendships, and grow professionally.
Kalamazoo Rotaract began under the sponsorship of the Kalamazoo Rotary Club in March 2009. Since then, the club has completed a wide variety of community service projects and social outings. Past events have included fall apple-picking, winter clothing drive, landscaping in Bronson Park, K-Wings hockey game, tours of historical Kalamazoo buildings, serving food at the Gospel Mission, and much more.
The Kalamazoo Rotaract Club welcomes new members who wish to serve the community, develop new friendships, and grow professionally.
Those interested in membership are encouraged to attend a club meeting, where they can meet with club members and learn more about Rotaract.
After attending a few club meetings, potential members may submit a Membership Application to be approved by the Kalamazoo Rotaract Board of Directors. Once approved, new members present a 3-minute speech officially introducing themselves to the group. Club members are required to meet club attendance guidelines and pay $60 in annual dues.
